Conference and Meetings

PPGC's mission is education based. Our meetings, annual conference and virtual conferences form the basis of our member benefits.

 

Meetings are held every other month in The Koppers Building Conference Center located on the 9th Floor of the Koppers Building at 436 Seventh Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh. A different program is presented at each meeting and often features nationally known speakers on topics of interest to our members. Members are notified of upcoming meeting programs via email and listings on this site. Presently, lunch is included in membership dues and a $35 fee is charged to non-member guests.

 

PPGC is a CFRE International Continuing Education Approved Provider for Council Meetings and all sessions of the Emerging Philanthropy Conference.

 

Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership provides a Reserved Parking Program.  To assure you find a convenient parking spot for PPGC Meetings you can reserve your spot in advance.

Presented by Jane Rae Bradford, Director of Gift Planning, Carnegie Mellon University

Ms. Bradford's presentation provided essential tools for an integrated planned giving approach. She shared giving trends and provided antidotal examples which can be used by practitioners and allied professionals. Drew Chelosky, Director of Development, University of Pittsburgh School of Law, assisted Ms. Bradford in this presentation.

Was an introduction to planned giving, information of benefit to senior development officers was included.  The presenters drew on their broad experience to define planned giving, its role in the development process, how to build relationships with donor advisors, how to generate major gifts that meet donor and non-profit objectives and partnering and stewardship opportunities.
